About

FC Nachtschicht was founded in 2020 by a group of hopelessly unfit school friends. We lost our first league game 0-23. Some members quit in frustration. We pivoted to recruiting online to strengthen the team, as we also were lacking squad numbers. Our recruitment mostly happened using Reddit, at least initially, although now we tend to recruit via word of mouth. We are quite an international team. Most of us speak german well, and we have some austrian and german players too, but we tend to speak english amongst ourselves.

League

We play in the 2. Liga Mitte of the Freizeit Fussball Bund Österreich. Our previous results:

• 2021-2022: 10th place
• 2022-2023: 5th place
• 2023-2024 (Winter break): 2nd place

Practice

We currently train wednesday evenings most weeks, all year long, outdoors as long as the weather permits. No membership is required to attend practice, as long as there is room anyone is welcome. We charge a fee for each training, this covers pitch fees and other costs. Currently we charge 10€ for attending.

Philosophy

We prioritize respect and having fun over winning at all costs. Anger has no place on the pitch. We do not tolerate violence or harsh words. Criticism has to be given and taken in good faith. In other words, we just expect everyone to behave like adults.
